Hi, newbie here. Trying to replace dry-rotted 20 year old subs in my old floor standing speakers. They are KLH 3 way sealed 2055's with (only basic specs on back) 12" woofer, 12" passive woofer, 5 1/4 dynamic midrange, 1" soft dome tweeter. with (???) 900 Hz and 2,800 Hz crossover points. The receiver I have running them now is an Onkyo TX-NR609. These speakers sound great, but can't find much on google about them. I don't really want to refoam the old woofers. Was hoping to find some suitable replacements, but this is where i get lost. Questions-->
1. What ohm should they be?
2. Would I also have to replace the passive woofer to match the new one?
3. With a little modification, Could this be re-wired to be bi-ampable?
or
4. Should I scrap them

, and get a new pair? I have become attached to these speakers, they don't hit super low, but are very clean. I've ran them through the ringer over the years, and they have never disappointed. My budget for 2 new replacements (if that is the way to go) would have to be between $400-500.
Thanks in advance for any help
