I am new to this forum and a beginner with home audio. Can I place my sub behind my television? I have a 51" rear projection and I am not sure if the vibrations will hurt it.
Any help is appreciated.

Oh ya I have laminate flooring if that makes a difference.

Vibrations won't make a difference. However, that spot might not be the best location for the subwoofer. Do you have a drawing of your room lying around?

No I do not have a drawing. I will test the spot and see how it sounds.
Thanks for the reply.

the vibrations won't "hurt" the set but it might, just might, cause the front face to vibrate slightly under loud notes or cause some othersympathetivc vibtarion. But, then again, maybe it won't.

In any case, no harm will occur. At worst, if it does cause anything to vibrate, simply reposition it.

Vibration won't hurt it, but if it is a CRT set, the magnet in the sub could definitley damage it.
