Hello to all -

I am considering the purchase of a Paradigm product which, as I understand it, works somewhat like a crossover and sends only bass signal to the subwoofer and the mids and highs to the mains. Is this not what the powered subwoofer is already doing? Is this overkill that won't make much audible difference? My power amp has no sub out so both channels come from the preamp to the sub and then to the power amp and main pair. Thanks for any help that is offered. :)

The unit is really for subwoofers that do not have a filtered output for use with limited-range loudspeakers. If you have tower speakers, or a subwoofer with a built-in highpass filter, than this product won't really do anything for you.
