When I connect the subwoofer to my Pioneer 1014 it makes a constant humming sound. It also distributes that interference to my Fronts. What did I do wrong, or is there a problem with either my sub or my receiver?

Not sure but...

You didn't provide enough details about the problem but it sounds like you may have a ground loop somewhere.

Check the home theatre setup section on this site, there are some excellent articles there on ground loops, both diagnosis & elimination.

Hope this points you in the right direction. :)

I agree about the ground loop. Is the subwoofer powered and is it plugged into the same circuit as the receiver/ amp?

Try a different outlet and see what happens. You may also try a power conditioner if you're not already using one.
