Subwoofer choice

One advantage of giant subs is that they provide a box large enough to sleep in outside for the night should it be needed.

Yeah, my wife was threatening that last night, as in my spending the night in mine...She doesn't seem to have the fondness I have for deep, palpable bass. Nor does she share my love for electronics.

Nah...I'll keep her. Just wait till she's out shopping though. Hopefully I'll be able to get that second one past her...

$1500 ? hummmmm.... instead of 1 sub I will use 2 in both corner, less than $1200 for pair include shipping. Velodyne dls 5000R , I use 2 for my 1000 sq. Ft. to handle 2 pair of Bose 502, it's not a problem at all. I never went over half way of 2 sub at all but I can feel the foundation of my house shaking. think about it 1000 Watts each.

If I were you, I'd settle for 1 good subwoofer and with the money saved, get some better speakers. I think you'd have an overall better performing system, IMO.
