Subwoofer as dual-purpose?

I have an HSU VTF-2 MK5 subwoofer (which I learned about from this forum, thank you very much!) in my 5.1.2 HT with a Yamaha RX-A1060 and upgraded Klipsch Forte II's as mains. I listen to more 2 channel in this room. I have another primo HT system in another room, but still use the room for movies, etc. I was wondering if I found a tube amp with a sub out for 2 channel music, would it be safe (for all equipment connected) if I "Y'd" off the HSU subwoofer to both amps as long as I was sure only one would be on at a time? My thought was to use the Forte II's for music with the sub. And then for the HT, get a different set of mains, probably bookshelf size. I am sure I could find a good placement for them. Comments?

Or would I need a switching device? I'd get one if I had to, but only if it was necessary.

Don’t, just don’t. I wouldn’t think forte II’s need the help for music. Mine never did. But, different strokes...

Are you saying that the Yamaha for 2-channel should suffice? And that I may not get much or any improvement with a tube amp?

I was saying no to the Y adapter to sub from two devices. Scary. I’d never tell anybody not to buy more toys.:)

I'd not do something like tubes or separating systems in a single room, but if I did I'd use a switch of some sort.

I think all you might get is some “warmth”. IE:distortion.
