Cross post from subwoofers….

I have a Denon 4700h and 2 SVS PB 3000 subs. I’ve been running one sub and sending the other LFE signal into my Emotiva XPA for bass shakers. I just got a Y splitter, to hook up both subs and the bass shakers. I noticed before I got in there that my sub wasn’t playing. I checked everything and it wasn’t playing signal. I took the bass shakers connection and ran into the other sub and neither of them are playing signal.

Went into the Denon menus and everything is good. It will not play a test tone to the subs. That being said, the bass shakers do work when I hook it up to either sub output, so a LFE signal is working. I’m so frustrated, I don’t know how both subs can not be working all of a sudden.

Speakers are set to small, pure direct is not on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Please don't double post.

The fist thing to do it to make sure the subs actually work. So connect anything with a signal to those subs in turn and see if you hear anything. If not those subs have failed. If both have failed it suggests deeper problems.

If the subs work, proceed below.

Do you get an LFE signal out of your subs or is it that you just don't get output below crossover for two channel music?

If the latter then the problem is in the low pass crossover of the receiver. The first thing to do is a soft reset of your receiver. If two or three of these don't work, then do a hard reset. You can attempt up to three resets. If that does not work then the receiver needs repair/replacement.

Do you mean like a different receiver? I don’t know how else to test the subs. Thank you for the help.

No, you can use anything with an RCA output, your iPhone for instance or a disc player. It does not have to be a sub/LFE output to test those subs, any audio RCA line out is all you need.

I appreciate the help, but I have no idea how to use my iPhone as an RCA out. A dongle that had a lightening connection to RCA? I have a Bluetooth adapter that has RCA outs. I can try that now.

The Subs worked before and now they just stopped working?

Remove the bass shakers. Just use the subs and see. Any lights on the subs?

Yeah, I get no signal. I hooked up a Bluetooth adapter with a red white RCA and had them hooked up to the input to the subs. Played music and got nothing.

Did that. Did no bass shakers and one sub. No bass shakers both subs. Subs don’t work, bass shakers do (when I hook them up). It’s crazy stuff.

I know the cables are good too. I hook the cable to the subs, nothing. Hook it up to the amp for the bass shakers and they work.

Have you fully power cycled the Subs?
Fully shut them down. Unplug. Wait 1 minute, plug back in and power up.

Start with that.

Test again. Make certain Sub gain is set appropriately. (As in somehow did not get turned to 0).

I turned them off, waited and turned them back on. Gain is at -10, both through app and manually. Trying to power cycle now.

First thing in any service tree for identifying problems, for anything that behaves as a computer, is to shut it down and restart it. :) This includes even the simple processors that are in modern Subs.

Glad you are up and running.

I bet there was a power glitch that caused this.
