Sub-woofer wiring

I have a mono output from my receiver to my sub-woofer, but my sub-woofer has a R and an L/LFE input. Currently I have Y cable connecting the mono output to the Y and then into both the R and L/LFE. Is this the proper way to do this?

I believe on your sub, you could alternatively just connect the subwoofer output from your receiver to the "L/LFE" input. That's how the owner's manual shows it.

Adam is correct but the way you have it hooked up is fine also.
