go back to setup
I just purchased my receiver at Christmas, but I am not getting any output now after I ran the automated speaker settting program. It does make sound when it tests during the YPAO program. The receiver is connected to dvd through digital connection, and to my dvr through optical connection.
The Sub is connected to the receiver through the correct sub line out connnection.
Any clue as to what's going on?
Check the speaker settings. a couple of things to look for.
If your subwoofer is power and you had the gain turned up high during testing you will have a very very low automatic levle.
Through manual setting you can increase the gain on the subwoofer.
If you have a powered sub oofer check to see that the gain is set to you liking.
If you have an "auto-on" try it with "on" forced. Klipsch subs seem to have a high failure rate with "auto-on"; at least mine an others have.
If auto YPAO set you speakers to "large" it assumes the speaker can handle the full range of sound and a sub is not needed.
You want the speaker set to small with a crossover frequency; at the crossover frequency and below the output will be directed to the sub.
The sub needs to be "Yes". And if you have a bass setting it needs to be either "sub", "both" or "mixed".
