nah dude i already bought the 15 at a steal by better sound i mean louder deeper smoother than the 12 an up grade from the 12 ya know

The 15" should play louder and deeper. The other aspects will be the same as the 12" in a similar enclosure alignment.

http://www.partsexpress.com/speaker-building.cfm well my current HF 12 is at 27 hz

would the HF 15 be best in a 3.0 cu ft sealed or 22 3/4 cube sealed i think thats like 5.0 cuft i want the 15 to have better sound than my 12 or eles its not an upgrade
You have not sent me a link to your current sub. If you can send me a link or exact details of your current sub I can render an opinion. Just because a driver is larger does not mean it has to be a better sub, in equivalent applications.

You still have not sent me a link to your current driver and box. I can't find any details of that 12 inch driver you quoted. However here is another 12 in Dayton sub I modeled previously. There are no xmax problems and the F3 is 17 Hz. The spl is a little lower than yours above 50 Hz, 111db versus 114db. However it maintains that spl to 20 Hz, where your 15 drops to 102 db.

I ran this driver through WinIsd and I get a 4.6 cu.ft. enclosure with an anechoic F3 of only 31.53hz. There are no excursion issues with it either.

Just find a JL Audio 18W6, build a box per the JL specs, run some massive juice to it and hook it up to your HT Reciever and enjoy....
