I know this is a terrible question but I've never been able to understand it or really hear the difference my receiver is capable of doing 50-200Hz It's a vsx-01 and I've got Vf-36's in the front and back with a Wc-24 Center channel no sub with the fronts Bi-amped so if someone could please tell me a little about the crossover and which would be the best setting for me it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

This feature is only used when you have a subwoofer, Leave all of your speakers set on large and do not use the crossover.

The purpose of it is so that when you have a subwoofer you can send just the bass signals to the sub and sort of filter them out of what gets sent to your other speakers because they are less capable of handling the bass frequencies.

Haoleb is totally correct here. Just leave them set on large....

Since I bi-amped the two fronts should I leave my Center small or make that large as well my fronts and backs can handle a good deal of bass

Because of your center channel, I'm going to give a bit of different advice than Haoleb. Your center is only rated down to 85Hz, while your towers are rated down to 36Hz (+/- 3dB).

I would set the center channel to small and set the crossover to 90Hz, maybe 100Hz. The bass from the center audio channel will be redirected to your front towers (be sure to set them to large and set the sub to off in your receiver's menu).

Bi-amping has no affect on any speaker other than the one you've bi-amped and really only if that speaker has an active crossover, from everything I've read.

All the above advice is correct.
