Sorry to hear about it. I'm still sad about my two passing within two years of each other and that was almost 4 years ago.
I had a Rotti and a German shepherd mastiff mix. Both huge lovable dogs. The Rotti was mine and he only live 8 years. Broke my heart to see him lying in my yard and the other dog freaking out. Didn't even know anything was wrong with him. I still tear up a bit thinking about him.
The other dog ate something that got him. Vet said it could have been a frog or something. My wife's dog, but still hurt a lot.
I guess two 150lb+ dogs would have been hard with how little my kids are. Especially with another on the way.
I can't bring myself to get another one any time soon. Kids too small to give a puppy the attention it deserves/needs.
I'll consider it when the youngest is about 3 or 4. Maybe. Too hard to love them and lose them so fast.
I really feel for all of you.
