A freind of mine has a cafe and has an LG42PC series plasma mounted on the wall. He is having a strasnge power issue.
Monday through Friday the TV works perfectly. However, on Saturday and Sunday when he turns the unit on the green power light flashes three times and then goes red which would indicaste the unit is in standby mode.
He has tried unplugging the unit and pressing the power button on the TV for 40 seconds (recommended by LG support) as well as holding the power button down with the power on. I know that this could be a bad board or power supply, but the regualrity of the timing is strange. I did a Google search and found a similasr issue. Someone said that it was due to an issue with the "Y-system PCB" But that issue was not intermittent as far as I could tell. I'd be interested to know if anyone has had or heard of a similar issue with these units or if anyone has any ideas of other things to try.
