Is there a way to deactivate Protect Mode in an Onkyo HT-R510 receiver? While setting this new system up to the speakers (back speakers), I inadvertently had the volume turned up all the way and blasted the reciever with a loud boom and apparently activated Protect mode. I've been staring at it for three months now, and am unable to get it to town to ship it to the factory for repair. Please oh please tell me there is a little easily accessible switch inside that controls protect mode. Thanks.

Most protect circuits I know of would have reset once power was disconnected from the receiver. Seems like you may have a blown fuse or permanent damage - but don't panic until you talk to an authorized repair shop or someone else who has had this happen.
