Personally I have one Rythmik D15SE in my living room setup, open floor plan to the kitchen and dining room and I am perfectly satisfied with the results. Wife, maybe not:D....but it blends excellent with my music and I can definitely feel/hear the bass in my theater.

BTW, the room will be a dedicated theater, 18x24x8 sealed rectangle.

I am still on the fence SVS vs Rythmik. If I did go Rythmik it would be because of the cabinet. As cool as the SVS cylinders are, the Rythmiks would blend in better with the decor.

You really cannot go wrong with dual PB13U's or FV15HP's. Enjoy, and do keep us posted.

+1 for the dual PC13-Ultra OR the dual Rythmik FV15HP

:p

Honestly, no "wrong" choice there at all! If you like the looks of the Rythmiks better, that's as good a reason as any to go with them. ;)

I do love the SVS Ultra subs. On a purely subjective level, I go a little gaga over that freaking beautiful driver :p I love the linearity too and its insanely low distortion. I also just love the Sledge 1000 amp for all its features and immaculate power delivery. But it's also a smaller driver - it has to work harder and accept more amp power to equal the displacement of the bigger 15" in the Rythmik. And as the measurements show, other than at 20Hz, the Rythmik can actually pump out a bit more output thanks to that driver size advantage.

Get the subs that fit best with the rest of your setup. You won't be disappointed with either! If the Rythmiks' cabinet design and looks work better for you, go for them!

:D

I love the idea of the 6 LFM's :D

Sure would be a lot of LFE splitters ;)

I thought I read somewhere that using the y-splitter takes away that 3dB advantage you get. Is that total bunk? I assume it is because I certainly got the 3dB extra output after coupling, and I'm using one of those splitters.

BUNK!!
Maybe a slight loss if you have more than 1or2 splitters but im just guessing. Hopefully someone who knows more on this than i will chime in.

Even if the coupling caused a signal loss, you wouldn't LOSE that 3db - you would just boost the LFE signal to compensate for the reduction.
