I don't doubt your system sounds good, but it's simply not the same sitting it on the tv and angling it down. I know- I made that compromise for years. In my experience it just doesn't work as well.

It's irrelevant to the topic at hand, but one of the best improvements I ever made to my sound was to sell my RPTV and buy a projector. My center now sits on a stand, optimally placed for height and well out from room boundries. You'd be shocked how much that big TV resonates and colors the sound, too. There's a reason speaker stands are solid instead of big empty unbraced boxes...

Still, I realize not everyone likes PLII. To each his/her own. :)
