I understand markup.

I worked at a appliance store where the discount we could get was an eye openner.
Markup is the price of trade.
You must take into affect the price of overhead.

Now I've got mine. Where's yours?
Cmon... thats the whitepaper of the manufacturer.

This is a hobby above all else.. if the expensive cables "sound" better to you, then they do to you. Fine. But, here at audioholics, where we pursue the truth in audio and video (tm) you've got to have real data to back your claims. Some of the nicest systems and most knowledgeable members here use "cheap" cables. Hell, I make my own.. .you know what? They "sound" better than anything I can buy. They sounded better before I hooked em up. You can have your cables, but when you start recommending "snake oil".... well... thems fightin words around these parts. That said, I appreciate your efforts to contribute.

To the OP, you don't have to spend a fortune on cables. Blue Jeans and Monoprice have plenty of solid reviews for me not to think twice about ordering from them.

On the one hand I have a speaker builder from one of the most respected names in AV gear with nigh-on 50-years of experience and investment in the cable market (no reason to prefer one outcome over another) showing repeated tests of actual output; including measured signal on cable, measured output from speaker, and multiple double-blind listening tests.

But on the other hand I have a cable manufacturer with computer models of why their cable is the best.

Whom to believe. I'm so confused. :)

I would believe in that DBT listening test:D After all, just because it can be measure, like a 1" difference in cable length, doesn't mean audible difference.:D
