Just bought a house, will be back online in about six years.

16+ zones of distributed audio being added, HD video distribution, intercom system, remote door locks, all the fun stuff.

Going broke and living behind the rack for quite a while. May not have power, but that TV will look awesome on the wall!

Sounds like it's going to be one heck of a place once you're done. Keep in touch!

I was thinking of hiring you to do an install but if they take you 6 years ... well... :p

Congrats and stop in every once in a while to see if I need anything. :D

It only takes a long time to get stuff done for yourself, because everybody else always interrupts with their emergencies :D:D

Enjoy the new place.
It's very satisfying doing work in one's own home and enjoying the fruits of that labor.

In six years everything you install now will be out of date....;) Good luck with the new house...:)

Got the rack layout done.

You can take a look at it attached.

Already bought one rack, guess I'm gonna need to go get another one of them to hold everything. Not a lot of room left over and I'm figuring I probably have left a couple of things out of the rack arleady.

Network switch will be rear rack mounted, and I may have some shelves for power supplies that I put in as well.

Yeah, this will be a fair bit of work to do right.

And yeah, the delays from making sure my paying customers are properly taken care of will definitely slow down my progress.
