Also, I've drawn my brother into the fray a little bit. He's working on a slightly tighter budget and as I've been poking around I found (what appears to be) a really good deal on an NHT Verve 5.1 system...

Any thoughts on NHT speakers and these in particular? The review I found on this site seems pretty positive. He's working with a roughly 12x15 room with 9 foot ceilings.
How do these stack up against the Ascend 170's? The Aperion in-walls? Does NHT make a good quality subwoofer?
