Ordered a Pro-Ject Debut III (gloss black) and Grado SR80i headphones, based on some of the feedback I read online here.

I will be able to use these with my current Yamaha receiver to get going listening to vinyl again.

Eventually, I would like to put a phone preamp and tube amp kit together (looking at the Seduction and S.E.X. from Bottlehead).

But this'll get me going for now!

Doc, will I be able to play the piano when my hand heals?

Doc replies: "Once you heal, of course you will."

Patient says "That's great! I never could before!"

Why do I say this?

If your "current Yamaha receiver" has a built-in phono stage, I don't see why not.

If not, then no: You're gonna need a phono stage.

I just got an astro a40 headset. I possibly should have checked this place out first before buying.
