Lionel I think PENG is right, this may not be the right forum.

Go to hifihaven.org and post the question there. Tell them I sent you. There's a guy there that goes by JohnVF. I believe he has (or had) a Bluesound. He has a lot of experience in this hobby so I think his input is worth listening to.
You're absolutely correct. If validation of audiophool orthodoxy is what you seek, you won't find it here.

This thread exemplifies what is wrong with today's idiot consumers. Assumptions that gear is flawed based on hearsay, which can only be solved by adding another equally expensive piece of equipment, again supported by hearsay, all to do something that is rather trivial these days (DAC). The blind leading the blind down a rather expensive primrose path of "buy and try" audiophoolery.

If the blind(test) is actually leading, the hearsay and Placebo effects would have been minimized.:D

I don't know why you get so bent out of shape. How is what I said any different from what PENG said? I just took it a step further and tried to connect the OP with someone that actually owns the Bluesound, not people that are telling him that all DACs sound the same. That's not helpful to someone that knows better.

Strange, a post like that drives you off the deep end yet hearing that a DAC is a DAC or that the DAC in a $30 CD player is just as good as ANY DAC doesn't get a rise out of you?

Anyone that actually believes that all DACs sound the same should seriously look into getting better speakers and room treatments.

**Please tell me that the founder of this website doesn't promote or believe that the DAC in a $30 CD player sounds the same as any other DAC !

I don't know about the founder, but you won't even hear that from me for sure. I also won't say a $100 integrated amp will sound the same as a $3000 AVR either, not even when used within their power limit.:D

Sounds like M. Berger has a case of upgradeitis. I suggest sleeping on the purchase until the urge passes.
I do not intend to ridicule. I sincerely suggest saving the cost. Or, at least somehow, barrow a DAC install it and see if a difference can be heard.
