When reading a spl meter when measuring a subwoofer are you supposed to take the highest number you see and the lowest and average them? Or should you just take the highest number to be the set dB level?

I'd more wonder what different numbers you're looking at and under what circumstances.....just way too little to go on.

Because I’m measuring bass the numbers on my sub bounce between 70.2 and 72.8

What are you using for test tone and measurement? Same exact mic position?

I’m using the pink noise on the receiver with a REW mic. Yes same exact position for everything.
