Well, I've heard Dali and B&W, but never Monitor Audio.

So I would say Dali or Monitor Audio.

I heard cheaper MA speakers and was not impressed. I did listen to Wharfadale Diamond speakers and Liked sound a lot, thou the bookshelfs needs a solid sub to play full range

Wharfadale are very solid good bang for the buck speakers, but if you current budget allows - Go ahead to checkout Dali,Focal, Mission,Mordaunt-Short, Tannoy and KEF and newer and higher series Wharfadale too

I'd like to notice KEF Q900 were given very high praises in this community

The Monitor Audio Silver RX series, is in a different class from
their lower end models. I reccomend that you audition them.
They are real good for movies and music - and if you get the
chance, do a door-knock test on the side of the cabinet. They
are really built well.

Are you able to audition any of those? Buying based on our opinions isn't a good idea, because none of us can tell you how those speakers will sound to your ears in your room. Audition as many as you can, and then ask the dealer if he'll allow you to bring the final one or two candidates home for a comparison to your Wharfdale's. Or perhaps you could bring your Wharfdales to the dealer if they don't offer in-home weekend auditions. Keep the winner.

Which ones have you heard?

Speakers are impossible to judge without hearing them and it's doubtful anyone here has heard all of them.

It's even more risky to try and recommend speakers for someone you don't know.

Even if we had heard them all, personal preference might dictate that four people each have four different recommendations.

Whatever you get, just be sure the retailer has a liberal return policy, particularly if you don't plan on listening to them before buying.

Hi jag5blues welcome to the forum!

I've demoed the MA Rx6 and liked them. I ended up getting EMP E55Ti's which are very similar but half the price of the MA RX6 speakers. For me it was the right choice and I'm very happy with them.

EMP offer a free 30 day in home trial.

I just heard the Monitor RX8 the other day, and those are some incredibly solid and good sounding speakers for that price. To me they sounded better than a $4000 set of PSB towers at the same shop.

I imagine you were talking about PSB's Synchrony Ones? You were not a fan?

Whatever you are leaning towards, I say be sure to give whatever you are thinking about getting a subjective listen first. At that price point it would be worth a trip if not available locally.

Well, ok, ok, ok, the "P" in the acronym "SPARK" could be both "Philharmonic" and "PSB". :D

I still need to audition the Synchrony One someday.
