Speakers that sound similar to Beolab 9?

Hey,

I remember when I heard the Beolab 9s for the first time I was amazed by their sound quality and character. Simply beautiful. Unfortunately I can't afford to pay $10,000 for a pair of speakers right now so I was looking for a more economical option. Let's say up to $1,500. I recently heard the JBL ES100 as well as the Cantons (don't remember the model) for twice the JBLs price. None of them made an impression on me. Are there any speakers out there that sound very similar to the Beolab 9 but don't cost as much?

Thanks, Paul

You might find other omnipolar speakers to your liking if you liked the B&Os. Others to consider would be di/bi polar. Just keep in mind that these types of speakers sound different in every room (as do all, but these types more so).

I hear that beolab9s sound very similar to them. They show up on Craigslist and Ebay.
