speakers for whole house audio

I am getting ready to put in the in-wall speakers for whole house audio, and I was wondering what quality level is a good suggestion. I have cover plates with fiberglass boxes in the wall, so they will come out easily. Probably speaker that have top and bottom brackets will work best.

I have the RBH signature for my home theatre, and I have looked at the RBH MC6, TK6, & A-610. But when I add up the cost for the speakers for the whole house, I almost fall over. The MC are really nice, but do the speakers in the bedroom and kitchen need to be a high end quality.

So, for those who have whole house audio, what grade of quality do you put in the various rooms. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I went with mid-series Polks (RC6s stereo single speaker and TC60i) for most of mine and have one pair BIC acoustics. The polks can be had on ebay for over 50% off MSRP. I originally went the really inexpensive audiosource route and they were very bad. No bass and they only lasted a year. The RC6s is impressive for a single speaker and is great for background music and can be pushed to fairly high spl's.

What is the Ballpark for the Polks?

The RC6s's are around 100 bucks each and the TC60i's I must have gotten a better deal than I thought. I picked up my pair for around $250 and right now the best price I can find is around $180 each (There is a used pair on ebay for 199). Another nice one to look at is the RC60i which is the regular version of the RC6s and a pair of those can be had for $130.

I'll second the Polks and also suggest the Def Tech UIW-63s (~$280/pr).

I guess the RBH aren't too bad ~ $174 - $350 / pair. But I will look athe the Polk as well. Would the sound quality be compribable to RBH. I like RBH, as their corporate office is just down the road a bit. So, any problems, I have quick access.

The price is right on these ~ $100 / pair. So, I need to do some more investigating. I may have to see if I can find a local dealer that has them on display.
