Crutchfield is also selling the superpower's for the same price. I can't help but think the Emotiva's amp is better....

I have a Grace Digital internet radio which is very similar to the squeezbox touch. It's only down side is it's interface is a menu type instead of tile.... But I've been around a while so it's not that difficult:-} Plus the presets are easy to use.

Individual plugs because they claim 90W each That seems like quite a bit for a "desktop" speaker of that size. I haven't heard them yet. The Emotiva amp is almost certainly going to be better.

90watts is a pretty cheap amp and most drivers seem to aim for 90watts so the headroom is basically free to the manufacturer. Might as well.

In desktop speakers that usually translates to the total power being split to both speakers and in this case it is per speaker; so seems decent for the price.

I still sort of prefer the ability to use the amp or the speakers for something else or change the speakers out when I feel like something new without having to go with active speakers again. Not that active speakers are a bad choice, just less flexible in that regard.
