Speakers For Rak_32

.....I'm working with Rak by email to try and help him get a good system....he said he is leaning to a HTIB system, and trying to decide between the HSU Ventriloquist system and the Energy Act6 system....I looked hard at these two HTIB systems in the upcoming link/review, and I can't help but lean to the Energy system....the reviewer says NO HTIB system will rival a full-sized speaker system, and I agree, but the "refined sonics" of the Energy system the reviewer stated, pulled at him with great comments about both music and home theater applications....also, the only tweeter in the HSU HTIB system is in the center speaker with the Energy HTIB system having a tweeter everywhere times 5....here's the link....the JBL system Rak says is not in the running because he wants to stay with a 5.1 receiver as per funds....and, I found him the Energy system for $600....comments solicited.....

it looks like the JBL HTIB has the flattest response ... I wonder why that's so when the energy setup has satellites that can plumb lower.

it also looks like the JBL is the easiest to power with 5.7ohms to 12ohms

.....Mike, of the three, I couldn't help but notice the reviewer said the sound of the Energy sustem "most approached his full-sized regular setup"....but, I'm trying to push Rak toward the Acoustch 5 piece setup with sub making it 6....very efficient system concerning the main's regiment....six and 1/2 inch woofers vs. three inch woofers in the three mini-systems, and the Acoustech system has two woofers in every piece, with the sub having one....full 6 and 1/2 inch horn mids/tweeters vs. 3/4 inch tweets in the mini-systems, or was one or two of them 1/2 inch, I forget....he says his room is very small, then he estimated 20 X 30....I'm goin' that last mile, Guys....thoughts on the Acoustech system?....here is a link to the system, and I've found it for $799......

.....gone for cheap Chinese....I go to a place that has much larger boiled shrimp on ice than what I can find anywhere else around here....they also have a wonderful cocktail sauce....I start my dining experience with two plates of the shrimp, then go to the chicken and veggies....correct, I walk out of the place bent over....back later....let's help Rak/Kar, Gentlemen, them two is actually good ole' guys......

unless space was an issue ... bookshelves over satellites ... ALWAYS.

that acoustec setup looks real nice!

maybe you can also check out how much the yamaha ef series ns-333 bookshelves, ns-444 center is over there (and maybe a cheap yammy sub) (5 pieces of these speakers would cost 431USD over here)

And he's still here................
.....and, you'll notice I'm not pasting his emails....trust me, I'm going to hang with him through one last advising of speakers, which I've done, a DVD player, and a 5.1 receiver, and I'll be done....I'm going to advise to him an Oppo HD970 DVD player, as I think that's the best thing going in the $150 down category and maybe a few levels higher....now, the last rung of the ladder....somebody please suggest a 5.1 receiver for $200 or so that will accept an HDMI cable....is there such an animal?......
