Thanks for your help guys.

Over the weekend i went to Paradigm and PSB dealers and audition Alpha and Atom speakers.

Paradigm Atom were decent speakers but PSB Alpha sounded much better to my ears.
I also got a good deal on Alpha, so just grabbed them.

I have bough Alpha C1 as center and Alpha B1 for front and rear speakers.

Even Alpha are rear ported, so PSB dealer has given me bracket which will keep the speakers approx 5-6 inches away from wall, though i am not sure of this distance will be sufficient.

Maybe in next few days i will start opening boxes and wall mount them.

Thanks again for your help.

6 inches is more than enough.

Congrats, that setup will definetely perform better than the JVCs. FYI, those are 6 ohm speakers that can dip to 4 ohm but the receiver should be able to handle them without issue.:)

Congratulations and good call on getting speakers you were able to listen to first.

5=6 inches away from the wall is plenty. If you have the time you might want to use something as temporary stands and give the speakers a listen before mounting them. This will allow you to hear how they sound in your own room, which can sometimes be different from how they sounded at the dealer. And if you have some room to play around with placement you can optimize their locations before you start drilling holes in the wall.

Cheers,
Dean
