The OP mentioned dual coil speakers. First time I ever heard about that in Home Audio. Bad sentence structure aside, I for one a would like to see what the take is on that here at AH. Thanks.

All the big in-ceiling companies make a "stereo" single speaker nowdays.

That is fantastic! I never would have dreamed of turning stereo back into mono but with stereo still comming out of it. Something new at every turn.

You run two sets of wires to them and they have independant tweeters and a common woofer.

For many whole house audio setups a mono setup can alleviate this issue as well. Face it, are you really listening for stereo seperation in background music? In some cases the stereo effect can be annoying and/or distracting in larger open areas and rooms.
