The OP mentioned dual coil speakers. First time I ever heard about that in Home Audio. Bad sentence structure aside, I for one a would like to see what the take is on that here at AH. Thanks.:confused:

All the big in-ceiling companies make a "stereo" single speaker nowdays.

That is fantastic! I never would have dreamed of turning stereo back into mono but with stereo still comming out of it. Something new at every turn.:)

You run two sets of wires to them and they have independant tweeters and a common woofer.

For many whole house audio setups a mono setup can alleviate this issue as well. Face it, are you really listening for stereo seperation in background music? In some cases the stereo effect can be annoying and/or distracting in larger open areas and rooms.
