digicidal Full Audioholic Dec 24, 2010 #4 I like using extension cords for that 'rounded look' when I can find good ones on sale (and in the correct gauge of course). With a little red and black heatshrink tubing and nice bananas/spades they almost seem like I spent $5000 on speaker cables when in fact it was more like $50. Not saying that they sound any different than zip-cord but they also don't sound any different than Nordost Odin Supreme Reference cables for that matter - and with the savings over the Nordost's I bought a Lexus. ...And I think they're 'prettier'.
