Speaker wire suggestions?

I'm looking for some speaker wires and I was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions. I don't want completely cheapo wires but at the same time I'm not willing to pay ridiculous amounts of money for them.

I am looking for decent wires ~14 gauge that are relatively cheap, only about 50-100ft.

Another thing is that I've read in some reviews for some wires that the gauge that they claim to be are sometimes misleading, the wires will have cotton cores or have especially thick insulation, etc. I'd like to avoid those...

+1. I'm running 14ga Monoprice speaker wire and Monoprice subwoofer cables. For most people there just isn't any reason to spend more.

The 14ga I have is from Parts Express. I also bought their tool for stripping the jacket off. It's pretty handy ... really handy ... I wouldn't want to live without it handy.
