I am in the midst of a center channel pickle right now,I am in the "test in home mode",I bought a infinity PC350 SC,and it didn't jump out and grab me,so my mission continues,

I am thinking of trying the AV123 line,
the Definitive line,
& maybe the Polk higher end stuff,
I am going to listen to some Paradigms this week too.

I like my infinity fronts I have now,(system in sig)

my question is this,my av/ht system is used for 90 % tv & movie "listening",if I listen to just music it's mostly just smooth jazz on the radio for background music,I don't tweak on the audio/music thing really,

isn't "timbre" more of a concern for just audio than home theater ?

Dan :)

Just get another Primus 150 and use it for the center. That is the best solution.

Chris provides a great solution, because a 3rd pseaker will match exactly ;). Timbre , means to maintain a seamless front sound. The center speaker is important if you watch TV or movies that have voice and dialog. With a center speaker you can clearly hear waht is being said. In pure audio and music ,the center is less important. Inf fact true audio afficioanados sometimes prefer two speaker stero for music listening.

Good luck!

Think of your front three as a set. You already have a good match in front, & if it's not working for you the solution is to replace the front 3, not just the center.

thanks for the helpful replies,

I have decided to keep the 350 cc,I have played with the settings in the 806 and I am happy with how it sounds. :)

it was more of a settings/auddesy issue than the speaker.
