Speaker Suggestion

I recognize this is a broad request........I need a suggestion for a new center speaker and floorstanding speakers.......good value and good quality. It is going in a very small sitting area (6*9). I jumped on one of the 42" plasma specials on black friday for this area and now need to upgrade the sound. I have jbl venue series 10" sub for this area. My primary system is downstairs where I run Aperion 600 series throughout - and I luv them. Since this is a secondary area (bedroom) -- I am hoping to only spend 600-750 on the center and floor combo. I am not afraid of Remanufactured, ebay or online retailers. As it is going with a plasma on a table mount (center will be sitting on the table), I would like a low profile, smaller center. (Truth be told, I bought a JBL EC35 and it is too big). Would luv some suggestions.

Yes this is a very broad request. What have you looked at?

Is the height of the JBL what is too much? That is going to be tough finding a center that will fit and still give good sound...every think of doing one of those Yamaha sound projectors?...the lower model is just a touch more expensive.

Also, what are you using for your AVR?

Take a look at some of these Cambridge Soundworks speakers. They sound pretty good in the show room and can be placed on their sides or on their bottoms.

Those Ushers are pretty, but the center is as big or bigger than his JBL...

I really dont know where you can go and get a small good sounding center.
