Speaker question

I went to a HT store and i saw the package NHT speaker front, center n rear or a monitor audio. i notice that the package speaker all the same brand for 1 package. which is better? speaker surround with same brand or different brand for front, center etc?

With the same brand, and even better, the same model in all positions you'll find that when sounds pass off between speakers it's a lot less noticeable. If the speakers are different, the sound changes slightly and it's easy to localize each speaker.

Definitely make sure the front three are identical, as this is where most of the soundstage in movies comes from. Sometimes you can get by with surrounds that are different, but similar.
