Hi, just got a new Yamaha HTR 5380 system with 5 speakers. Everything seems connected properly, except all sound only comes from the center, surround, and subwoofer speakers, leaving out entirely the left and right front ones. I've tried switching the speakers around to make sure it isn't a problem with the actual speaker, and all of the speakers work when not connected to one of the front two channels.

I read about someone who had a similar problem, but that involved the entire receiver shutting off whenever anything was connected; in my situation everything works fine save for the front two.

Any ideas?

silly question.

Assuming the receiver has the option, are they perchance hooked up to the "B" speaker connections?

...I'm just guessing so don't take offense.

It's honestly entirely possible; I know very little about these things. How would I check?

Alright, I just checked, and they were on B. All better now.

Whooooo, I feel intelligent.

Thanks for the help.
