Speaker Placement Guide

Is anyone familiar with any webpages or articles that have literature on speaker placement?

I've been thinking of wall mounting some Titans, (as surrounds and rear surrounds) but wanted to read up on it before i go ahead and put holes in my walls.

I've seen a few (ie dolby's webpage, and crutchfield's ht guide) but they both give different information, as i'm sure alot of other sources will.

PS, if i posted my room layout, and pictures of some "trouble" room acoustics, would anyone here be able to give some advice?

Here is a very good article from Floyd Toole of Harman International. It's about as thourough as you can find. It's a good read. It's actually 2 parts.

There are a lot of conflicting articles available on the internet which makes your decision about the setup difficult but you have to match the best available placement within the perimeter of your room, if you want to place your room layout diagram, do so in the "Room Acoustics, System Layout & Setup" forum, you will get lots of practical advice!!!
