Speaker Noise when turning the Russound amp off

Hi Guys,

I just wired my 6 zone Russound CAM6.6. I have speakercraft in wall speakers in the different rooms. In one of the rooms, the speakers make a loud popping noise when I turn the russound controller off. The speakers work fine when the system is on but I am wondering if I did something wrong with the wiring or if it is a static issue.

Any guidance would be much appreciated as this forum has helped me tremendously in the past.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

I see that unit has 12 amps. I suspect at least one of the amps supplying that room has a fault, either a leaky diode or a cap discharging though the output stage. That unit needs return and replacement while under warranty. This is the sort of fault that often progresses to total failure of the amp in question.
