Your amp/amps are either damaged, or something else on the same circuit is.

Seriously, I have no life.
After a power surge my speakers started to humm
We need to know a lot more about it. Speakers can NOT hum unless they are active or powered speakers. Passive speakers can receive hum but not create it.

So we need to know what your equipment is, and which unit is generating the hum.

It is also possible that it is not your equipment but damage to your house electrical system, but that is far less likely.

Lastly does it just hum, or does it just have hum over program and if so what inputs?

I am leaving shorty, I have a service call to go to 350 miles away. Actually a re-install after a service call a couple of months ago, and servicing a Quad 306 in the meantime. So I might be able to answer you later after I get to my hotel.

Based on his other thread, he has speakers with a powered sub section in them, the Cambridge Soundworks T500's.

Does the hum go away if you disconnect the powered sub sections?
