A lower gauge is bigger.
It's a little shoe sizes; bigger isn't always better, it's really the size that fits the foot. Or with wire, what fits the application.
Try this: http://www.roger-russell.com/wire/wire.htm#wiretable
EDIT: I didn't refresh my screen, and see the table was already posted.

The guage you choose depends on the length of the run of wire, and also how much power you plan to push through the wire. 16 guage is enough for most applications, but it can't hurt to go with 14, and 12 would likely be the biggest you would ever need.

I think we already discussed this before in a previous thread. 14AWG should be plenty for your needs.

It's not even that.

It's not even research he needs. If he would just read and try to comprehend the answers so generously supplied by the very, very tolerant and patient denizens of this forum in his previous posts.

Unless, of course, he just wants the attention.

What's that called again? Oh, yeah. Now I remember!

Also try to ask it over and over again, in slightly different ways.
