I recently connected my front speakers (Definitive Technology BP6B) with 16 gauge speaker wire/banana clips and noticed I get a clicking noise out of them when I turn the receiver volume up and down. I have 2 subwoofers (Klipsch RW-10D) within a foot or so from both speakers (they have to be close because of my room design). Would my subwoofers be affecting my speakers and causing this clicking noise?

No. The problem is in your receiver. Live with it, or have your receiver serviced.

i used to have a yamaha that made noises when working the knobs.

what i did was turn the knobs a whole bunch of times, receiver off.
that cleaned up the contacts inside.

Now knowing it's a receiver concern I initiated a master reset. This seemed to take care of the speaker volume clicking at this time. Thanks!
