My set up is Onkyo tx-sr608.

JBL Venue Series Voice Center Channel
# 2-way speaker with frequency range of 70 Hz to 20 kHz
# Peak dynamic power handling of 300 watts
# Sensitivity of 90 dB

JBL Venue Series Monitor, for both fronts and surrounds.
# 2-way speakers with frequency range of 68 Hz to 20 kHz
# Peak dynamic power handling of 240 watts
# Sensitivity of 86 dB

JBL Venue Series SUB12
# Subwoofer with frequency response range of 50 to 150 Hz
# Peak dynamic power handling of 500 watts

Sitting area from couch to tv is 9ft. The fronts and center are on the tv stand directly in front of the tv. The sub is to the left of the tv stand in the corner against the wall and the tv stand is right up against the sub as well. The surrounds are directly behind the couch up against it. Now I did the audyssey auto calibration and the results are as followed: Front 50hz, center 40hz, surround 70hz. Left 0.0db, center -3.0db, right +1.0db, surr right -4.0db, surr left 0.0db, subwoofer -2.0db. Audyssey dynamic eq on, dynamic volume off. thx ultra2/select2 subwoofer no, loudness plus On. speaker distance left 8.0ft, center 7.0ft, right 7.0ft, surr right 2.0ft, surr left 4.0ft, and subwoofer 9.0ft. So are these good settings for the sitting distance and the setup I am using? I read a calibration article and it said typically if your speakers are small speakers(not towers I assume) they should be 80hz all the way across. How true is that statement? So should I leave what audyssey did or make some adjustments? I noticed most people would rather do manual over auto.

You can evaluate this yourself if the Onkyo has memory capbilities. Save that current setting in memory. Next time, set all of your speakers to small, leave speaker size configuration out of audessy, run it again and save those results to memory. Now listen to your system at different volume levles while switching back and forth from the two memory settings to see what you prefer.

I think the numbers look good to me. I would let Audyssey handle it; I disagree with your comment that most prefer manual adjustment. Some will double check the level settings with an SPL meter, but even that is questionable IMO especially for the subwoofer level.

Congratulations on the new system! I'd listen to it for a few days as-is and see how you like it. Then perhaps set the crossovers at 80hz and see how that works and then pick what sounds best to you. The reason that I'd try 80hz is two fold. 1) I usually assume that when they say a speaker will play down to 70hz that it's down 3db at 70hz. I haven't seen a graph for those speakers so I could be wrong but that's my rule of thumb and honestly it's not all that much. 2) It takes a bit of the load of the receiver and speakers and put it off on the sub. 80hz is kind of a sweet spot - low enough that you generally won't notice the sound source transitioning between the sun and the speakers.

After reading Sholling comments I went back and reread your crossover numbers and I agree with Sholling that 80Hz would be a good number across the board. Apparently, based on Audyssey's frequency reponse reports, the AVR is setting the crossovers lower than what one would normally expect for those speakers (must have some room gain). I any case there is no real advantage of setting the crossovers below 80Hz in most cases.

Thank you for all the suggestions. If the onkyo does have a memory bank I will use it, but even if it doesnt ill just write down what the current settings are and then do the 80hz all cross.
