Im from kenya - East Africa. Last wek I purchased a Harman Kardon AVR 335. I need to by speakers but my choice is limited to JBL E60 or E80 for front L/R and EC25 for centre channel. I can also get a Sony SA-WX900 subwoofer. Sony SS-MF 550 for surround. Will these work? Please help.

Work? I'm not sure what you mean by work, but as long as you are not trying to throw a disco party in a concert hall I think you should be ok. Granted I have no idea of your room size, speaker config, or listening prefs are.

For the average size room, that setup should work just fine.

Hello Muiruri
Welcome to the forum,
If JBL were your only choice you would be wise to select a surround speaker that voice matches the front and center. The JBL E-10, E-20, E-30 and E-50
Would be good selections. I would also lean toward the JBL subwoofer over the Sony. The E250p is respectable and the S-120P II is pretty good

If you go with the JBL E-60 or E-80 front mains select the EC-35 instead of the EC-25 center The EC-25 will have a tough time keeping up with the dynamic capability’s of these two towers thus sounding a little recessed
The EC-35 would be a much better selection. My choice would be the E-80's over the E-60's

I will buy the E80 pair On Saturday, which are availabe localy while I figure out how to import the rest from Middle East (UAE). For a long time I have hoped to own a system that will give me very good music. I have an out of the box Sony Home theater system Which is very disapointing!
