speaker alternatives

I am putting together a HT and have recently purchased a Panasonic TH-58PZ700U, an Onkyo TX-SR805, Oppo 981HD, and all my cables and speaker wire. I ordered speakers from AV123, X-series MTM's, SLS's, and a CS center channel. Now I have all my gear except for speakers and I am not sure how long my patience will hold out. I am pretty new to the whole audio/HT thing and want to get some feedback on what other speakers people would recommend that are comparable to the X-series that are available now. I posted a thread at AV123 forum and one of their sales reps agreed with another post advising moving up to the rocket special going on right now. Does anyone know if this means it will be a long wait for the X's. Like I said earlier, I am new to this whole thing so I am asking basically from an uniformed standpoint. Thanks for any suggestions.

X-series delays

Some posts on the AV123 forum indicated that there were some b-stock X-series speakers that were made available to people with current orders first. You might call and enquire about this option today. Also, Mark is offering some discounts and deals on a smaller x-series speaker to customers that have had to wait. The demand for the x-series speakers was much higher than expected and they are expanding production to catch up.
