 I HAVE A ROOM THAT IS 25 FT LONG AND 15 FT WIDE. 8 FOOT CELINGS. I HAVE A YAMAHA RX-V659 RECEIVER. I PLAN TO PUT A PROJECTOR IN THE ROOM. IM TRYING TO FIND A GOOD SET OF SPEAKERS FOR A FIRST TIMER THAT IM NOT LOOSING MY MONEY ON. I DONT HAVE A VERY GOOD BUDGET TO WORK WITH. I COULD PROBABLY ONLY GO $400 FOR A FRONT LEFT/RIGHT AND CENTER SPEAKER. ILL BE DOING MOSTLY MOVIES AND OCCASIONALLY MUSIC. I DONT CARE TO BUY USED OR REFURBISHED SPEAKERS IF THEY ARE IN GOOD SHAPE.

ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?

How far back from the front speakers will the couch be? Unless your seats are all the way against the back wall almost any loudspeaker with 5.25" or 6.5" woofers should be alright.

Paradigm Atoms (google some reviews, they are universally beloved budget speakers) and CC-170 will MSRP at $400 for both (which is my former set-up, very nice.) When your budget allows for surrounds and rears just buy more Atoms or the slightly more expensive ADP-170 surrounds.
