Bummer. Have to join to see but I can probably get an idea of what it is about. I heard Georgia was going to close. This is too good not to share.............
Opps, sorry, didn't know that, it was rather funny given the current political climate ....Bummer. Have to join to see but I can probably get an idea of what it is about. I heard Georgia was going to close.
We had -20F!!!! For a couple days. The high was -10. Typical for January, glad it only lasted a few days.Yeah, -20C here (about -4F). Feel terrible about the homeless in our town. No kind of weather to be sleeping outdoors. The warming centers are only open during the day and not enough shelters at night to accommodate everyone.
Bumper cars???Just cold rain and wind in my area, all the sleet and snow stayed north into Gainesville and the northern part of Jacksonville. Crazy , yes !.
Around Tallahassee
- 2.5 inches at Lake Jackson, Tallahassee
- 2 inches northeast Tallahassee
- 5 inches in Two Egg at 8:45 p.m.
- 4 inches in Havana
- 5 inches in Quincy
- 6 inches in Ochlocknee
- 6 inches in Santa Rosa Beach
- 3.5 inches in Panama City
- 7 inches in Navarre
- 5.5 inches in Marianna
- 6 inches in Chattahoochee
- 3 inches in Destin

LOL, having lived through the second biggest 24 hr snowfall ever in the lower 48 (72" of snow) it's tough for me to get too excited over a tenth of an inch !Officially 1 tenth an 1 inch of snow at JAX yesterday. Not that big of a deal but there were some cancellations. Go just a bit north into Georgia and it was much worse.
True, but its a biggie for a lot of people that have never driven on ice or snow. Its crazy. Its like a strong tropical storm in the Smokie Mtns, rarely occurs..LOL, having lived through the second biggest 24 hr snowfall ever in the lower 48 (72" of snow) it's tough for me to get too excited over a tenth of an inch !
agreed and that's why people stupidly ignore forecasts. It happens up here as well. One of the things that always amazes me is pick up truck owners and their '4 wheel drive', unless you have a 'locker' or posi all you really have is two wheel drive !True, but its a biggie for a lot of people that have never driven on ice or snow. Yep, The difference between REAL 4wd and this AWD crap is a transfer case., unless you have a 'locker' or posi all you really have is two wheel drive !
what's that David, stupid drivers ?Does that apply in snow and rain?
