Ok,

well after doing more researching i am now thinking about a new sub setup. I have another post on here about building a 15 inch sealed sub to match the one i currently have.

Ok now i am thinking about using 2 x RL-I 12 inch dual 4 ohm Soundsplinter subs that i have been using in my truck. I would like to go sealed boxes if possible. I was planning on running a BEHRINGER EP2500 amp or something similar. Now i guess since these are dual 4 ohm that means i would either need power for 8 ohm or 2 ohm depending on how i wire them. I belive that these speakers RMS value is about 400 watts. Also would i need a EQ with these?

Just grab a couple of resistors. I think you definitely want an EQ but it works without one.

Don't use the resistors. That won't work.
The EQ is optional but highly recommended.
