Hi,
I'm new to the whole audio scene I've listened to various speakers while growing up my unlce had Cerwin Vegas routed throughout his house and I thought they sounded okay. I mainly used various computer speakers from altec langsing and logitech to compensate for my sound needs on a budget. The best speakers that I own right now is a logitech z5500. When I get my basement done I'm putting that system together piece by piece.
I noticed there is no Bose reviews (I know the company is not well liked and I don't even really like them) here not trying to start anything but I've been looking for a soundbar for my bedroom and I tried the Polk, Panasonic soundbar which didn't sound all that great and the Samsung soundbars (the best ones that they had available for this year). I listened to the Bose Cinemate 1SR in stores and it sounded pretty good but not better than the B&W Panorama or the Yamaha YSP-5100. I was trying to find reviews on it but didn't see any so I took a chance and bought it saved about 400 off retail and realize that what I heard in store and in my home are two completely different things. (I listened to the system in a Bose store and also in Best Buy ) In Best Buy the area was pretty open and wide because I know the Bose stores are set up in a particular way that's why i didn't trust it there.
So I got 30 days with the Cinemate SR1. And here's my budget it's about $1500. If I had more I probably would had went with the Panorama and bought a sub separately. Is there anything else out there that I would not need to buy a separate amplifier for, that doesn't require running alot of wires and is decent? My space that I'm trying to put the speaker(s) in is a 10ft x 15ft roughly with a big window on the side and a lil narrow hallway to exit out of the room with.
