sound steady cant get it the same for over 20 years

ive tried getting tvs with steady sound as an option
Is there a theater sound, surround option, which brand and or do all brands help out
I am dirt poor when it comes to audio for tvs

will a good sound bar fix the issue

when I watch the news everything is good
when I watch a sitcom almost everytime the sound is steady

but when I watch almost any movie with a lot of music scores and or a lot of action scenes the sound is out of control with ear piercing bombs exploding, then to quite {to hear what people are saying in the movie}
ive had my hearing checked !

my Sony tv has a steady sound option but makes no different

I searched the internet for years and just don't want to throw money around without asking first

You need an AV receiver that has a “night viewing” setting, also known as compression. Compression basically raises the soft sounds and brings down the loud sounds, so that everything is consistent. I don’t know if any sound bars include this feature – you’ll have to look around.

You may also want to check the options on your cable box if that is what you're using for tv/movies. I have Fios and there is an option to apply audio compression.

Half of what turned me off to television/cable tv entirely was barely audible dialect and then blaring advertisements. To have to pay to be obnoxiously advertised to was just too much an insult, and as far as I am concerned, they can shove it where the sun never shines.

That's one thing dvrs are good for Then there's the enforcement of CALM by FCC when they have more important issues like making the drumpf feel better about himself by attacking folk like Stephen Colbert when he has people publicly broadcasting more heinous statements about c*********g from his own administration....rant over and back to our regularly programming
