Sound proofing a theater?

I need to soundproof my existing home theater. It is in the house and has 3 concrete block walls and a concrete floor. The other wall and ceiling is wood interior walls. I am looking for a good resource to learn how to do it or a good product to isolate them. I espically need to quiet the noise going through the ceiling to the baby;s room which is right over head.

Thanx for the help.

I too need some advice. From internet research the following seems to be a good idea...

Cotton fiber batting for insulation, might be too pricey, if so use rockwool.

I also recently found a sound deading drywall which claims to be as efficient as 8 layers of drywall.

I dont have the link on this pc though, but the 3/4" supposedly has an STC of 75.

Unfortunately, there is no effective 'soundproofing' product. Sound proofing is accomplished through construction. You'll need to effectively build a room within the room to experience any real soundproofing benefits.
