Is there a preferred SLM to purchase? I see lots of options on Amazon ranging from $20-$100. Not sure which one to grab. My old analog radio shack SLM died.

Or perhaps consider something like using software like RoomEqWizard (REW) with a measurement mic. Depending on other uses, for me a measurement mic and a laptop do a lot more than an spl meter can alone.

Hi,

Have you considered a calibrated microphone that you can use on PC (like you're using to browse here) and REW (free software) to measure SPL and all kinds of things too? Super useful. The Mini DSP UMIK 1 is popular and works well. Dayton has one too I think.

Very best,

I already have the REW mic and software, I was looking for the easy to use handheld SPL meter. I grabbed Ryan's $20 amazon recommendation. Thanks for the feedback!
